Principle of Balluff displacement sensor
The function of Balluff displacement sensor is to convert linear mechanical displacement into electrical signal. In order to achieve this effect, the variable resistance slideway is usually fixed at the fixed position of the sensor, and the different resistance values are measured by the displacement of the slideway on the slideway. The sensor slideway is connected to a steady-state DC voltage, allowing a small current to flow through the microampere, and the voltage between the slider and the start is proportional to the length of the slider movement. Using the sensor as a divider can minimize the requirement for the accuracy of the total resistance of the slideway, because the resistance variation caused by the temperature change will not affect the measurement results.
